Black magic desktop video v10.4.2 for mac os#Welcome to the Desktop Video software for Mac OS X! been there.Blackmagic Desktop Video Software version 10.1.1 is now available for download: Sorry, cause I know how frustrating this stuff can be. Then reboot, and it should find the drivers it needs if you have then on your computer.or you can choose to look on internet. My video monitor is 1080, so that's what I use.Īnyway, if you disable device, and REBOOT.THEN YOU CAN ENABLE DEVICE. but with your own specs for SDI output, etc. You should be seeing an option via video desktop (under Blackmagic programs in 'programs' ) similar to what you see in pic above. That's one reason I upgraded to the 4k thing. I think there's weird stuff where hdmi gets passed through the pci slot from graphics card or something, so a TV works, but the SDI doesn't. quality sucks on field monitor ).Ī while back I installed a mini monitor card that did not work for SDI output. Using resolve I get primary monitor (eiso calibrated to rec 709 2.2), secondary junk monitor (for other panels like scopes etc.) and video monitor via SDI ( pro monitor, but a small field monitor, like Lilliput works too via SDI. When I open the Blackmagic video setup thing, I see THIS. Most of my sound comes out of speakers hooked up to the pig. Oddly, I do get sound to the video (SDI) monitor but I don't depend on it and the volume is low on it. I like it on my pig, so I just installed the card to 'play' video out of the SDI output. I don't want my sound to go through the decklink only. Do that for your devices ( there are 3 so I don't know if you have to do it for all three or what will happen if you just choose the first one.) Typically, uninstall device means you disable the device. I found the decklink card has a very slightly LONG tongue (where connections are for SDI) so that it doesn't push down as far as it should into the pins of pci slot. So, I used the screw from the slot BELOW, the 8X pci slot, with a small fender washer, which gave me a bite on the decklink, AND didn't pull the pins out … and it works fine. It worked then.īut the card should be grounded on chassis (with screw) and also (obviously) you can't have the thing moving around when connecting and disconnecting SDI stuff. I found this out by NOT screwing the card down, and trying it. so that it wasn't making good connection across the whole slot. I discovered that when I screwed down the card to chassis the card was getting pulled extremely SLIGHTLY to one side, making the contacts on deep end of slot ( away from back of computer) come OUT an extremely small amount. ![]() Uninstalled again.and installed drivers and stuff first, then card again into 8x slot. I recently installed ( a month ago ? ) a 4k decklink card in PC, win 10, in a custom built computer (nicknamed 'the pig'). ![]()
